For a magical evening, our holiday decorations were enhanced by a blanket of snow. It may be gone by Christmas Day, but the sight of snow on our wreaths swept me back to my childhood when it always seemd to be white on the night Santa arrived.
Happy Holidays to all my readers! May your days be merry and bright!
Your house and especially the snow look beautiful to me. Living in Fl. we had snow one time at Christmas in 1989. Of course our whole city and all of our bridges were closed. Most of our guests couldn’t make it to our house. Fl. is not made for snow. It lasted 2 days with ice also.
Have a Merry Christmas,
Ellen
Ice makes it even tougher, esp. in Florida! Everything is frozen solid here but tomorrow we’re supposed to get rain which will wash it all away. I heard a story about the snow in Las Vegas this year. Someone called city hall to complain that the streets hadn’t been cleared. The response: “Lady, we don’t OWN any snow plows!” Pretty funny but not suprising.
Happy Holidays to you and your family. Do we ever have snow here in Maine. Mother nature just dumped 18″ on us and sleet and ice today.
Wow, Carol, 18 inches! I guess I’ll stop complaining. I just heard a friend of ours in New Hampshire was without power for 3 days. At least we have heat and light. Hope your holidays were merry in the snow!
